The dates of our unmissable Showcase have been defined, which, now in its seventh edition, will try to bring the world of colleges closer and make the world of colleges as much as possible known to Italian and international volleyball players.

The aim is always to ensure that each athlete can demonstrate their sporting, relational and cultural skills with the aim of being considered for a scholarship for sporting merit in the universities of the United States of America.

The Showcase includes a first evaluation training led by Coach Pat Kendrick while the session on Tuesday morning will be led by Coach Luca Cristofani (you can find their resumes in the staff section). The coaches will be assisted by student-athletes , i.e. university girls and boys who have already obtained a scholarship for sporting merit in American colleges and who will help in the intercultural and linguistic exchange between athletes, coaches and staff. Tuesday afternoon will be dedicated to the game, there will be matches between teams with prizes for the winners.
In addition to the coaches who will lead the trainings, there will also be other coaches from prestigious American colleges of the most important American leagues and divisions who will attend all the training sessions, observe and evaluate the athletes.

The program includes accommodation in the beautiful setting of the Castelli Romani on the outskirts of Rome, 3 indoor volleyball trainings, meetings between the consultants and the athletes in collective and individual form and direct contact with the American coaches both on and off the court. Location: Frascati (Rome), one of the most beautiful and characteristic towns of the Castelli Romani, on the outskirts of Rome.

Transport: There is a permanent transport service between the accommodation and the sports field. The participation fee includes transport to/from the airport or railway station at the times and methods agreed with the organization.

Athletes: The Showcase includes a maximum of 28 athletes who will be divided into 2 groups of 14 according to the specific technical training/game needs of each session. On the main parquet court, a single central court will be set up.

Staff: The staff will be made up of coordinators, coaches from American colleges, Italian coaches, student-athletes and assistants for material and transport. Other student-athletes, former professional volleyball players and Italian coaches are also expected to participate.

Pat Kendrick
: Head Coach at Xavier University of Louisiana (NAIA)

She was a coach for 30 years at George Mason University of the NCAA DI and won the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Coach’s 8-time award before deciding to move to bring her experience to Xavier University of Louisiana. After 10 consecutive titles won in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, in 2022-23 Xavier’s volleyball team coached by coach Pat moved to the Red River Athletic Conference, winning two consecutive titles here too (the last in the season just ended and thus guaranteeing access to the national elimination phases). Several Italian athletes have been and still are part of the team with a scholarship for sporting merit. Coach Pat has led the training sessions for all of our Showcase and we are proud to continue to have her with us this year.


Luca Cristofani
: Technical Director of
Volleyrò Casal De’ Pazzi

He is an Italian coach who has won almost all the titles that the Italian national volleyball system can offer (except the A1 series at the moment). He has won 15 Italian youth championships, the first in 1995. In his career he has won the Serie C, Serie B2, B1 and the Serie A2 championship 3 times, the most recent in the 2020-2021 sports season with Acqua&Sapone Roma Volley. He was the first coach of the Peru women’s national team in 2011-2012 and assistant coach of the Italian senior national team that won the Mediterranean Games in 2013. He coached the Italian U23, U20 and U18 national teams for 7 seasons, in the 2021-2022 season he was the first coach of Bartoccini Fortinfissi Perugia Volley in the women’s Serie A1. In the summer of 2023, he was Technical Director of Puerto Rico’s senior and junior women’s and men’s national teams.

He is currently Technical Director of Volleyrò Casal de’ Pazzi, the most titled team in Italy at youth level.

Cost: 400,00€ includes:

  • Room and board at the beautiful Domus Park Hotel from Monday 10 June morning to Wednesday 12 June lunchtime;
  • Staff with excellent command of the English language;
  • Simulation of the TOEFL by certified teachers;
  • Information and material on how to get a sports scholarship in colleges through specific presentations and activities of various kinds on the American academic, sports, and cultural systems;
  • Clothing kits;
  • All the activities of the provisional program, including any trips and evening in the center of Frascati with ice cream;
  • Staff available 24 hours a day;
  • Personalized form and individual interview with each of the participants at the end of the event with a report of the evaluation by the American coaches.

Registration procedure:

  1. Confirm your registration by filling out the
    participation form.
  2. After an evaluation of the profile by our staff, if suitable for participation, the athlete will receive an email confirming the registration with the next steps:
  • Bank details to pay the deposit of € 150.00 to reserve your place*
  • Procedure for carrying out the online English assessment that will allow teachers to determine if the athlete has the necessary skills to take the TOEFL simulation.
  1. Participants will then receive an email to make the balance payment, a list of things to bring to the Showcase and the latest details.

Registrations are open subject to availability of places by role and level/year of maturity.

* In case of cancellation or cancellation, the deposit will be refunded in full or in part in the following ways:



– Refund of 100% of the amount in case of cancellation of the event due to force majeure.

– 100% refund in case of cancellation by April 30, 2024.

– 50% refund of the amount in case of cancellation by 30 May 2024.

– No refund of the advance payment in case of cancellation after May 30, 2023, but the athlete will have the full credit for participation in a subsequent edition of the Showcase and other events or discount on the consulting contract.

In previous editions...

  • Over 155 participating athletes who were able to show their talent and skills

  • More than 30 college coaches (from all over the USA) who viewed, evaluated and offered scholarships to the athletes.

Some of the athletes who have participated in previous editions:

  • Giulia Bonifacio she was one of the athletes present at the 2022 Showcase during which her qualities did not go unnoticed and in August Giulia was already flying to reach Binghamton University, a team and university playing in NCAA Division 1, where he finished his first season overseas receiving awards and personal recognition. In 2023, she transferred to Florida Southwestern State College where she and her classmates won the NJCAA National Title in December 2023.
  • Julia Stanev took part in the 2021 and 2022 editions of the Showcase and in the summer of 2023 she flew to Eastern Illinois University where, at the end of a triumphant regular season with 24 wins and only 4 losses, Julia and the Panthers won the Ohio Valley Conference.
  • Giorgia Walther and Lucrezia Lodi participated in our Showcase in 2019 and 2021 respectively: both received a sports scholarship offer from coach Joanne Persico (head coach of St. John’s University, NY), who was present at both editions of the event. Giorgia is in her third season in NCAA Division 1, under the orders of coach Persico, while Lucrezia, after finishing high school in 2022, joined the Red Storms in August 2022;
  • Alessia Sgherza and Camilla Tamburini took part in the 2019 edition of the Showcase, where they were noticed by coach Fred Chao, who was present at the event: after being invited to officially visit the college, in 2020 they both flew overseas to start a master’s and an undergraduate degree at Old Dominion University respectively and play for coach Fred in the university’s historic first volleyball championship;
  • Chiara Cucco participated in the 2018 and 2019 editions of the Showcase obtaining a scholarship that allowed her to start her student-athlete career at Hofstra University, NY;
  • Emma Erteltova, with her sister She came from Slovakia to participate in the first edition of our Showcase and came back with a scholarship offer to play volleyball and beach volleyball in FIU (Florida International University) where two years later she was joined by her sister Ella: both, after finishing their experience at FIU, continued their academic and sports careers at California State University, Bakersfield;
  • Margherita Marconi, from the first edition of the Showcase to the NAIA title with Park University – read her story (link to the dedicated article)
  • Anna Dalla Vecchia, in 2017 took part in the Showcase obtaining her scholarship for the Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans; after an excellent first season at this college, her passion for beach volleyball led her to look for solutions that would allow her to practice both beach volleyball and volleyball and then she continued her path as a student-athlete with a scholarship for sports merit in California at University of San Francisco where she graduated in 2021; in 2021-22 he completed his Master’s degree at Chaminade University of Honolulu, Hawaii.
