Amazing season just ended for the beach volleyball couple Federica Frasca and Margherita Bianchin.

A last and important recognition has arrived in recent days: the AVCA BVB All-America Honors.

The Italian girls ended their sports season with the beach volleyball team of the FIU – Florida International University collecting great results and coming close to the title by participating for the first time in the American NCAA National Finals, concluding the adventure in the round of 16 but returning among the best eight teams in the United States.

The AVCA BVB All-America Honor thus comes to sign a record season for Federica and Margherita, as their coach also recalls Rita Buck-Crockett: “I’m proud of Fede and Bianca. They are the symbol of excellence in sport, as well as in study, fully representing the values of our university. They have fully deserved this recognition.”

The Frasca-Bianchin pair dominated the ranking of the best college pairs in this discipline throughout 2018, ending the season with 20 out of 27 useful results including the trail of 13 consecutive winning results since March 10 that began against the No. 6 pair of Nicole and Megan McNamara who then won the title of national champions with UCLA – University of California Los Angeles.

The news of the award went around the world, obviously reaching Italy in the prestigious pages of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on newsstands in the June 1st edition, as well as appearing online in the article “When All-Americans are Italian”
