- August 4-6: Susquehanna Smash (lawn volleyball tournament, different formats)
- 8 August: return to Italy
Once the family is known, the final program will be made together.
Program Cost:<br>€ 3000,00 for the entire period
Included in the price:
- Local transport from the airport to the host family and back to the airport and all internal transport for visiting the city or for trips to the area for tourism and/or tournaments.
- 3 meals a day* and the contribution for the host family.
- All training and/or camps of the club and tournament registrations
- Taxes/handling fees.
* Everyone is responsible for their own meals, but host families tend to cover if not all, many of the meals even when on a trip.
Not included in the price:
- Round-trip flight ticket
- College volleyball camp (if the athlete is interested in doing a summer camp at a university). It will depend on the dates and camps chosen. Prices range from US$500 to US$700 with room and board included (residential camps) or between US$250-400 for day camps.
- Cost of tickets for various activities to choose from (such as visiting amusement parks, museums/theaters, professional sports matches)
- Extra money for small gifts and snacks during trips outside of the 3 meals included
- Travel Medical Insurance (recommended)
Summer Volleyball Experience, how it works:
The Summer Volleyball Experience is a personalized and customizable experience, which is “designed” ad hoc for the athlete.
After an initial information call with our staff, in which more information is provided on the route, if the conditions are met, the search for the host family begins, giving priority to the location indicated by the athlete. Subsequently, the activities and the program are defined and chosen together.
The programs shown are just examples to give an idea of how a Summer Experience can be developed. In reality, each experience is tailor-made: no one is the same as the other, because each athlete lives a unique and unrepeatable path.
DESTINATION 2: CALIFORNIA
Period: TBD JULY 2025
Location: Temecula, California
Arrival and departure airports: LAX, SAN, ONT
Host family: a family with children who play volleyball in the Forza1 club
Workouts:
- Women: with the Forza1 team and participation in the summer camps organized by the club (3 training sessions per week are planned but more can be done on request)
- Men’s: with athletes selected from the Forza1 groups and open gym opportunities (3 workouts per week but more can be done on request)

Example of a typical day (explained by the owner of the Forza1 club):
“A typical day can always be organized according to the preferences of the participants: you get up in the morning and have a good breakfast. If your plan is to visit San Diego (for example) you will arrive in less than an hour. Americans love to organize trips and always have a lot of fun! Host families have children who play volleyball and therefore if the athlete makes friends immediately it will be like going on a trip with a friend. You eat a good lunch in San Diego and visit the city and the coast which is beautiful and then return home. In the afternoon, if volleyball training is scheduled, you can change and come to the gym: the athlete will have the opportunity to meet many boys and girls who attend our camps for the summer! Then you go home, take a shower and stay with your host family. There will be a chance to visit San Diego, Los Angeles, the stunning coastline and beaches. Santa Monica or Hollywood! Everything the participants want to visit in the area.”

We at Forza1 bring the teams to Italy every year to show our athletes a different culture and to get to know a different volleyball. We are trying to do the same thing with Italian girls. Americans care a lot when they host a girl at home to give her all the affection and create an experience not to be forgotten. The athletes we have had in the past are still in contact with the host families and a very close bond is created, to the point that they have always come back to visit them and meet again! We are sure that it will be a wonderful experience for Italian athletes. For every need we will also be present and we will follow the athletes every day to know how things are going!”
