Jesica Umansky
Sportlinx360 was born from the personal experience of Jesica Umansky, a former student-athlete for women's volleyball at George Mason University from 2001 until 2006. Jesica received a full athletic scholarship and lead the Patriots to 2 CAA Championships and NCAA appearances (2002-2003 and 2003-2004). She graduated with honors in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering. She also served as a student-assistant coach at GMU in the 2005-2006 season where she learned the intricacies of college recruiting and the world of collegiate athletics. Jesica has also played volleyball in some of the best leagues in the world: in Brazil, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. In 2011 she served as an assistant coach for the Peruvian Volleyball Women's National Team, participating to important competitions such as Southamerican Cup and the World Grand Prix. Finally in 2009 she moved to Rome where she earned a Masters degree in Economics and Sports Management from Il Sole 24 ore Business School in Rome, her current city of residence.
Elitza Krasteva
Elitza Krasteva joined Sportlinx360 in 2013 after more than 20 years of playing volleyball and 10 years playing as a professional volleyball player all around Italy. Elitza graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and International Communication from Roma Tre University and obtained her Master’s degree in Modern Languages for International Communication also from Roma Tre University in 2012. Elitza is also a translator for Spanish, Bulgarian, English and Italian. She was born in Sofia (Bulgaria) and was raised in Rome, Italy where she lives nowadays while she still plays volleyball.
Danna Gomes
Academics & Sports Consultant
Danna Gomes is a 4-time NAIA Volleyball All-American and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Park University in Parkville (USA). Throughout her 4 years in college she earned several recognitions such as: 4-time All Conference, 3-time All Region, Career assists school record (5,545 assists), 3-time All-Academic, 2015 Freshman of the Year, 2017 Setter of the Year, 5-time Conference Setter of the Week, 2018 NAIA All-Tournament Team and last but not least: 2018 Women's Volleyball NAIA National Champion. Danna played volleyball in Brazil from 2006-2014 until she got contacted by Park University to continue her volleyball career but also studying in the USA. After she graduated in 2019, she was offered another opportunity to continue her studies and also play volleyball by coming to Italy and obtain a Master degree in Sports Management at the Olympic Management Institute. Danna joined the Sportlinx360 family as an intern in 2020 and at the beginning of 2021 she officially entered the team as a Consultant, she currently lives in Rome but grew up in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and speaks fluently Portuguese, English and Italian.
Rodrigo Ribeiro
Academics & Sports Consultant
Rodrigo Ribeiro was born in Brazil and has been playing volleyball since he was a child. He graduated in Law at the Universidade Federal Fluminense (brazilian university) in 2018 and he is also a former collegiate volleyball player (Park University), arriving at the final 4 at the NAIA's National Tournament (2015). Rodrigo relocated to Rome, Italy in 2020 where he obtained his Masters degree in Sports Management from the Olympic Management Institute and started his career as a volleyball coach, being now a licensed volleyball coach in Italy. In 2020 he interned at Sportlinx360 and became a full member during 2021 specializing in men's volleyball and soccer.
Margherita Bianchin
Beach volleyball coordinator
Margherita Bianchin is an FIVB beach volleyball player and a member of the Italian beach volleyball national team. After getting her diploma from Liceo Classico she took a year off in order to understand what the future would look like for her. Thanks to Sportlinx360, she left Italy in 2015 and she played indoor for 2 years at St. John’s University, NY. Her talent and passion for the game of beach volleyball led her to transfer to Florida International University, Miami, where she became a 2-Times All-American. She graduated from FIU with a degree in International Relations, a minor in General Marketing, and two master’s degrees (Sports Management and International Business). She joined the Sportlinx360 family in 2020 as an intern, and shortly after she became the beach volleyball coordinator. She fluently speaks Italian and English. Her goal is to transmit the love for the game and the same amazing experience she had in college as a student-athlete thanks to Sportlinx360.
Alessia Sgherza
Academics & Sports Consultant
Alessia Sgherza is a volleyball player for 15 years and she obtained a three-year degree in Physical Education & Sports in Italy in 2019. Afterwards, through the Showcase2019 organized by Sportlinx360, she had the opportunity to play and study at Old Dominion University (USA), earning a master's degree in Exercise Science. During her time in America as a student-athlete, Alessia was named C-USA All-Academic Team, and 2-time C-USA All-Conference Second Team. Alessia “made” ODU history because she was one of the first athletes to participate in her university's first volleyball program. At the beginning of 2022 Alessia returned to Italy and started collaborating with Sportlinx360. She officially became part of the staff in September of the same year. She is currently playing volleyball and completing her five-year degree in Physical Education & Sports. Alessia speaks Italian and English.
Damiano Ferlito
Damiano Ferlito, born and raised in Rome (Italy), joined the Sportlinx360 team in 2017. His background on sports starts very early collaborating with an important organization that promotes sport, CSAIN, where his main activities were organizing tournaments and sports events. He has been around volleyball for more than 15 years, first as a player and then as a coach and manager. Damiano holds a Masters Degree in Web & Social Media Marketing from La Sapienza University of Rome.
