Global Challenge 19: Giorgia Walther's interview

Wednesday, July 31, 2019

Giorgia Walther is one of the Italian volleyball players who took part to the Global Challenge '19.

An initiative developed by Sportlinx360, in collaboration with Bring It Promotions: the aim is to give an opportunity to athletes to travel around Europe, play volleyball and improve their knowledge of the English language.

A sports and linguistic experience entirely in English, run by skilled coaches  coming from the US and other European countries.

Here is Giorgia's opinion: "It was a very challenging and important experience for me. We traveled a lot and visited many places, but at the same time we also had practices and during the tournament in Pula (Croatia) had  2 matches a day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). It was a unique cultural experience because, as I have already said, we have traveled a lot and I personally didn't know any of the cities we visited (Rome, Modena, Venice and Pula). During these 10 days I also met fantastic people with whom I shared good moments. The language issue seemed to be an obstacle at the beginning, but after overcoming the first difficult moments, it was very useful to discuss and communicate in English."
