It's time for new departures at Sportlinx360. The season has begun and several athletes have flown to the United States to live this important experience of life, sport and study: 8 student-athletes have just started their journey in the States, all volleyball players.

- Silvia Bonsanti, born in 2000, Middle Blocker | Mineral Area College

Silvia participated to the 2019 edition of our Showcase: despite having the high school State exam a few days later, she did not want to miss this opportunity and in August she left Latina for Park Hills (Missouri), a small town located 1 hour from St. Louis.

- Greta De Gasper, born in 2000, OH/Libero | University of Hartford

Before making her choice, University of Hartford offered Greta the fantastic opportunity to go visit the college for a weekend, meet the team and the staff and getting an idea of the the life of the student-athlete in this great University in Connecticut. Greta is not alone in facing this adventure: Sara Gasparotto, middle blocker and venetian like Greta, has also just started her student-athlete experience at University of Hartford.

- Sara Gasparotto, born in 2000, Middle Blocker | University of Hartford

Sara participated to our Showcase in 2018 and since she was a child has visited the States several times (her family has relatives in Texas). She is from Mansuè (Treviso) and she already knew Greta: they were happy to be able to leave for Connecticut together. She also visited the college for a couple of days before deciding.

- Angela Egonu, born in 2000, OH/Opposite | Xavier University of Lousiana

Angela participated to the second edition of our Showcase (2018) and received an athletic-scholarship offer directly from the coach who led the training sessions at the Showcase: Pat Kendrick. She has just started her freshman year as a student-athlete in the States, in the beautiful city of New Orleans.

- Giada Pais Marden, born in 1999, OH | Auburn University at Montgomery (Alabama)

From the province of Vicenza, she decided to start this journey one year after her high-school graduation to better prepare for admission tests and improve her English. The Auburn University team is part of the NCAA D2 and is included in the GULF SOUTH CONFERENCE. Thousands of kilometers away from home, Giada recently played against Beatrice Formilan, her teammate in Bassano del Grappa (Italy) for years!

- Daniela Poles, born in 2000, role OH/Opposite | Missouri State College-West Plains

Daniela also participated to the 2018 edition of our Showcase and she is from Veneto as well; she found and chose her college after an official visit... in July!! She definitely seized the day! She is in Missouri, in a very competitive junior college searching for a pass to Nationals!!

- Francesca Rossi, born in 2000, Middle Blocker | Laramie Country Community College

We met Francesca in May, she took part to our Showcase in June and in August she was flying to Wyoming! With her great determination, in a very short time she was able to get the required tests scores and completed all the tasks needed to start this great adventure.

- Rita Zecchin, born in 2000, OH | College of Central Florida

Rita is from Veneto (from Piove di Sacco, Padua), and also took part to the 2018 Showcase; then she set aside the idea of leaving Italy for a while but during the spring she finally made the decision. Rita was a very promising gymnast until 5 years ago and now she is in the USA with a full-scholarship for volleyball!

Congratulations to all of you and best of luck for this first season!!
